Jakarta, March 25, 2024 – Parna Raya Group received acknowledgment for its contribution to the advancement and development of Lake Toba as a tourism destination. This recognition was bestowed directly by Mr. Luhut Binsar, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, at a communal Iftar event organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, the National Committee for F1 Powerboat and Aquabike, and e-catalog at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment.
Minister Luhut praised the collective efforts, noting that they had propelled Lake Toba to be recognized by The New York Times as a top destination in 2024. He emphasized the success of Indonesia’s tourism initiatives, highlighting a significant turnout of approximately 90,000 tourists and the positive economic impact on regional investment.
Furthermore, the strategic hosting of Aquabike events in 2023 and subsequent editions of F1-Powerboat and Aquabike events led to increased international visibility for Lake Toba. With a valuation of 18 million Euros and an extensive televised audience of 2.2 million people, these events not only attracted tourists but also directly benefited the local community, fostering growth across various sectors.
During the event, Mr. Luhut commended PT Parna Raya for supporting significant events at Lake Toba such as the F1H20 in 2023 & 2024 and the Aquabike World Championship 2024. “We are immensely proud of companies like Parna Raya that are willing to contribute to the development of Lake Toba as a Priority Destination in Indonesia.”

The presentation of appreciation, embellished with the customary ulos ceremony conducted by Mr. Dony Oskaria, the Chief Executive Officer of Injourney, and the conferral of a commemorative plaque by Menko Marves, underscored PT Parna Raya pivotal role in the event’s triumph.
