Chief Accountant

Description

To support hotel’s Finance Controller and making sure a smooth daily operation and not limited to overseeing the Accounting & Finance department, developing financial strategies, & planning, and making sure that to comply with government, local law & financial regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting / Finance from a reputable university or Academy.
• Certified as Public Accountant (CPA) will be an advantage.
• 3+ years experiences in finance or accounting senior position.
• Preferred with previous experience in hospitality industry.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Fully conversant in accounting principles and financial regulation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis and reporting.
• Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
• Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
• Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
• Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
• Respond to any accounting inquiries.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
• Assist in Finance & Accounting audit activities.
• Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
• Review and update accounting procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
• Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Directs, conducts, and/or participates in cost analyses.
• Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
• Review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
• Manages the deployment and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.
